FSA Next is for younger families and individuals who are looking for help with investing and planning for the future.
The typical Nexter’s primary goal is accumulating assets, with an emphasis on the following:

What is the FSA Next experience?

Step 1: 30-Minute Complimentary Consultation

Our first discussion gives us the opportunity to get to know each other. We do an assessment of where you are relative to your short- and long-term goals. We listen to your concerns, ask a lot of questions, and try to gain an understanding of how we can add value to your current situation.

Step 2: Personal Financial Analysis (PFA) – $1,500

The PFA is an in-depth analysis of your financial situation. Together we will evaluate the likelihood of you hitting your financial targets. If adjustments need to be made, we can assist in developing a strategy to get you on track towards achieving those goals.

Step 3: Ongoing Coaching & Investment Management -$2,400 per year + 1% of Assets Under Management

Younger individuals generally experience a number of transitions both personally and professionally. The choices you make during this time will dictate the lifestyle you will be able to live throughout the course of your life. Once you complete the PFA, we can provide you with ongoing access to your personal financial advisor who can help you navigate these changes and aid in decision-making. In addition to having your “coach” as a part of your team, you may receive the following services:

Kim Basenback, CFP®

director of financial planning

Kim provides financial planning & advising services.

Kim earned her degree in finance from Virginia Tech with a concentration in financial planning and has been advising clients since 2010.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Kim is passionate about helping people reach their goals and achieve financial security. She takes great pride in helping families and business owners through retirement planning, education planning, investment planning, and estate planning.

Kim is currently pursuing her Certified Financial Transitionist (CeFT^®) designation which she plans to utilize with clients experiencing life transitions (e.g., marriage, death, divorce, retirement, etc.). This intense, year-long training focuses on the balance of the technical and personal sides of making financial decisions and how being in a life transition can impact those decisions.

Kim actively participates in pro bono work and enjoys spending her time mentoring financial planning students from her alma mater. She is also involved with the Financial Planning Association. In her spare time, Kim is an avid traveler and the office adrenaline junkie. She enjoys being outdoors, running, rock climbing, playing volleyball, and more recently riding her Peleton. She also loves spending as much time as she can with her husband Jordan and dog Cooper.

Mike Zarrelli, CFP®

Mike works alongside the advisors to prepare for meetings and builds financial plans.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Mike desires to guide others on their journey to financial freedom. He is passionate about getting first-time investors involved in the stock market. His mom always told him to practice the five Ps, “Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.”

Mike earned his degree in finance from Salisbury University with a concentration in financial planning. At Salisbury, he was the treasurer of his fraternity and an active member of the Financial Management Association.

Outside of FSA, Mike plays touch rugby with his brothers and friends on weekends. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, watching sports, and being at the beach. Like Kim, he has four siblings.
